Wallpaper Dilemma

How do you remove old wallpaper without damaging the plaster walls with harsh chemicals?

WHITE VINEGAR WITH A TOUCH OF WATER!
SHAKE, SPRAY & SCRAPE!
What's up with the reddish-orange color? Pretty wild for the early 1900's wouldn't you say?

Hi Lynn,

I am loving reading your blog all the way up here in Tennessee. You have come a long way from the first days after Katrina, that's for sure.

Girl, you gotta check out our DIY TV network, or at least www.diynetwork.com when you need help with one of these projects. Check out a product called "wallwik" - it removes old, old, old wallpaper pretty easily.
http://www.wallwikcompany.com.

Of course, vinegar and warm water work pretty well too, but don't mess up those plaster walls!

Here's another suggestion - I think you should repaint the rooms in the original colors you find under the wallpaper. That orange color is totally rockin'!

Love,
Karen
